Billy Idol carved his name into rock history by bridging the raw energy of punk with the glossy hooks of pop, creating something that felt genuinely dangerous while still dominating radio. Born William Broad, he first made waves fronting Generation X in late-70s London, one of the more melodic acts to emerge from the UK punk scene.
