Steel Wheels Tour Rolling Stones SOTD

Start Me Up! Good morning Cavers.Today in The Rock Cave we are waxing poetic about an epic concert I went to on this date in 1989. Sporting my oldest concert shirt (it's a beauty) we talk about The Stones "Steel Wheels" Tour in Foxboro. I took the WCCC Rock bus and it was amazing. The Stones had been rehearsing at a former all girls private school in Washington, CT and they paid us back by performing a surprise show at Toads Place. Word got out they might do such a thing so 700 lucky people bought tickets to a local band show for $3.01. Sure enough they went on and played for an hour. Another 1000 people were dancing in the streets. Song of the day is from Steel Wheels: "Rock & A Hard Place"
