VAN HALEN Fair Warning is 40 (Air date 4/30/2021)

40 years ago yesterday Van Halen dropped the atomic bomb of an album called Fair Warning. This is one of my all time favorite records by anyone anywhere. Not a single weak track, there may not have been a chart landing song on it but wow, what a kick in the xyphoid process this was. “I used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass” David Lee Roth once said. This record embodies that whole statement. SOTD is “Mean Street” but really, it could be any of them. Here’s 7 minutes of heaven for you. OCTANNNNE FRIDAY!
