40 years ago today, the day after what would be his last performance, we lost guitar legend Randy Rhoads in a terrible accident. Only 25 years old when he died, he was already heralded as what many called him, the greatest metal guitarist of all time. He formed Quiet Riot in the early 70's as a 16 yr. old and went to to Ozzy Osbourne in 1980. He advanced heavy guitar by infusing classical guitar which would change the trajectory of the genre forever. SOTD is the classic 'Crazy Train' with a shout out to 'Mr. Crowley' as the first Ozzy solo song I ever loved. RIP Randy Rhoads
