Wanderlust Wednesday yet again here in The Rock Cave. Today we are talking about the debut album from Tears for Fears. Released this week in 1983 to mixed reviews, it is not considered one of the 80's best debut albums. I bought this record in '83 and this was right in my wheelhouse. The version I bought had a different cover (the international cover). While you may know 'Change' & 'Mad World' do you know 'Pale Shelter'? Wanderlust is checking out the deep cuts that I know all the words to including: 'Watch Me Bleed' 'Ideas as Opiates' 'Memories Fade' and 'Suffer the Children' Perhaps you have picked up on the downward spiral themes here. Stick with it because the vocals, drums, guitar and keyboard are pure magic. SOTD
