Sad news yesterday with the passing of a generational icon. Olivia Newton-John for many of us became a huge part of our worlds in 1978 with the amazing movie Grease. Did you know that she already had 2 Grammys and a greatest hits album that went platinum before that? She sold over 100 million records globally. With 'I Honestly Love You' to 'Xanadu', 'Magic', 'Physical' and 'Twist of Fate' she was a force to be reckoned with. The role of Sandy is where she left her biggest mark. I rewatched the final scene from Grease and to this day it holds up as one of the best. I was brought back to the times we spent listening to this record and watching the move dozens and dozens of times. Little things like the guys with their faces through the windows and then their hands waving during the part before The Sugar Shack are pure gold. Years later she was a different kind of force in advocacy work around cancer. Godspeed Sandy, your fans remain hoplessly devoted to you. SOTD is 'You're the One that I Want'
