46 years ago this June The Cars dropped their debut record. This Boston band labeled as New Wave, Power Pop and/or Synth-Rock had been playing in clubs for a while and they finally got their due. Is this a perfect record? flawless? You can debate that but I think it is a mini Greatest Hits out of the gate. Only 3 singles? WHAT?! Side B was all over the radio but had zero singles on it.
