The Manhattan Transfer performed for the last time last week after 50-plus years. This band went through many incarnations and musical style changes all of which were pure delight. I was introduced as an 11 year old in 1979 when the song Twilight Zone hit my stack of 45's to be played non-stop for months. This was followed up by the catchy Boy from New York City and later the 1930's and 40's inspired Swing album. Check out SOTD today.
