The Smiths Panic 1987

In 1987 I was cruising along listening to INXS, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Dirty Dancing and to be edgy The Violent Femmes. Little did I know there was a band out of England that was super important and worth listening to. Today I talk about why we would not have ever heard of The Smiths at the time. I do wonder what I would have thought but by the early 1990's I finally caught on and was hooked. It is easy to forget that they were considered to be WAY off the beaten path even if we could have heard them. When did you first hear them? Chance are it was the song How Soon is Now?
