Ray Charles would have been 92 at the end of September. The man they simply called The Genius single-handedly defined Soul Music in the 1950's and 1960's. Did you know he is even in The Country Hall of Fame? He was releasing albums until his death in 2004. This week in 1962, his recording of 'Hit The Road Jack" hit number 1 for 2 weeks. The song became one of his signature releases and 2nd shortest to chart (2 minutes). This is a good one, SOTD.
