Cake The Distance 1996

In the summer of 1996 Sara and I were cruising down the highway from Yosemite to L.A. and all we heard was this new single by a band called Cake. I couldn't get enough Cake on that trip and when I got back east I found out the album was a few weeks away from being released so, as one did in the dark ages, I had to wait. I have been a fan of their quirky music ever since. Today we go back to where it all started for me, with The Distance. Song of the Day.
