OCTANE FRIDAY! Here in The Rock Cave we present our 3rd and final EVH tribute. Certainly not the last VH song to be featured here however. As promised we move to the Sammy Hagar years where I completely ignored their first record out of stubbornness and I had the luxury of a great DLR solo record to dry my tears. In the end it was this record that knocked my senses in and I could no longer deny what I already knew, Sammy was not just a great lead singer, he was (and remains) one of the best frontmen in the history of Rock & Roll. 1988, OU812 is released in May and it is a juggernaut for me and I haven't said a bad word since. I listened to this record twice this week, kept in mind it was a celebration of Eddie and picked this track as an example. His guitar work here plus to topic of being on the road, touring and just being A.F.U. (ALL FIRED UP!) SOTD.
