Van Halen 5150

On April Fools Day 1985 it was not a prank, Van Halen announced the departure of Diamond Dave from the biggest band in the world. NOOOOOOO! I screamed. 16 year old me was not having it. When Van Hagar was announced I was adamant they should call themselves that. It was even considered for 1 day at the suggestion of record execs. I wasn't ready. I loved Hagar's solo stuff, especially Heavy Metal from the soundtrack. It would not be until 1988 and OU812 that they would win my affection. I would later go back to embrace 5150.
