Frank Sassano is basically the unofficial co-host of The Rock Cave at this point, having appeared in 15 episodes and counting. At what point does Mark Pierce just hand over the keys? Frank clearly has his eyes on the throne, having already orchestrated not one but multiple "Pirate Radio Takeovers" of the show, which is either a testament to his passion for rock music or a very slow-moving coup. When Frank isn't plotting his hostile takeover of the podcast, he's deep in the vinyl trenches championing some of the finest and most underrated corners of rock history. The man will go to bat for Meat Loaf, ride shotgun through The Cars' deep cuts, and somehow make ELP feel like a conversation you'd have on a Friday night with a cold drink in your hand. That's a rare gift.
