In October 1984 the lead single to Don Henley's solo record Building the Perfect Beast dropped and by the summer of 1985 this song was perfect to kick things off. "The Boys of Summer" won a Grammy and a Moon Man. Do you know who wrote the music and passed on it? The song is about aging and selling out everything in between.
