Def Leppard Hysteria 1987

Dec 8, 2023

Def Leppard were flying high after the success of Pyromania in 1983 and they went back into the studio in 1984 to start their next record, Animal Instict. They had producer Mutt Lange again and they were ready to take the world. That all came to a halt on 12-31-84 when drummer Rick Allen crashed his car and ended up losing his arm. The delay in the record resulted in Lange briefly leaving and Rick Allen rehabilitiating and getting a new drum kit where he could use his foot instead of his arm. In the end, the album was called Hysteria and sold 20M copies with 7 singles. Crank up Pour Some Sugar On Me and listen in today. ,
